Description

The HealthCare Simulation South Carolina (HCSSC) ECG Lab scenario is designed to provide an interactive demonstration lab for participants learning various heart rhythms, along with associated EGC tracings and basic physiological changes. Participants in small groups can compare and contrast heart rhythms, vital signs changes and the ECG tracings. The following heart rhythms are available within this scenario:

1. Normal adult bradycardia
2. Normal adult tachycardia
3. Normal sinus rhythm with PAC
4. Normal sinus rhythm with PVC
5. Atrial fibrillation
6. Atrial fibrillation with rate variations
7. Atrial flutter
8. Atrial flutter with rate variations
9. 1st degree AV block
10. 2nd degree AV block type I
11. 2nd degree AV block type II
12. 3rd degree AV block
13. Sinus tachycardia
14. Ventricular tachycardia
15. Torsades de pointes
16. Ventricular fibrillation

The ECG lab scenario has been developed for several of the Laerdal software platforms. Each version of the scenario takes full advantage of Laerdal programming capabilities. As a result, the scenario is easily run from a well-structured menu. Faculty do not need to know how to manually change parameters "on the fly" to run this scenario.

HCSSC scenarios are programmed to support proven methods for objective-based feedback and Practical Simulation. For more information about HCSSC scenarios and courses, and how to achieve Practical Simulation visit the HCSSC website at www.healthcaresimulationsc.com/simstore.
