The ACLS SimMan® Scenarios set contains thirty-one (31) scenarios that address major learning objectives geared toward cardiopulmonary emergencies. The scenarios offer educators the ability to provide realistic and challenging scenario-based simulation to improve and test learners’ critical thinking and decision-making skills in accordance with the American Heart Association’s 2010 ACLS Guidelines.
This set contains 10 medical and 10 surgical scenarios developed for undergraduate nursing programs.
18 patient cases geared toward management of cardiac arrests and respiratory emergencies.
This set contains 10 medical and 10 surgical patient cases for undergraduate nursing programs.
12 patient cases train care and management of serious and life-threatening physical injury.
This set contains 10 medical and 10 surgical scenarios developed for pre-licensure nursing programs.
The Competency Based Nursing set contains twenty scenarios designed to provide formative or summative assessments for the senior nursing student or new graduate registered nurse. The scenarios demonstrate the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) appropriate for safe nursing practice and higher-level clinical judgments in the care of patients with cardiac, endocrine, neurological, and respiratory disorders.
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) scenario set is designed to provide participants with deliberate practice and specific feedback as they provide emergency care to simulated patients with a variety of problems. These upgraded scenarios are based on the VitalSim® scenarios distributed with the original Laerdal ALS simulator.
