The Intravenous Therapy set consists of a total of ten scenarios based on 5 cases designed to provide formative and summative assessment with structured feedback for participants in performing intravenous therapy. There are two scenarios for each of the cases that have identical programming except that one has voices and the other does not.
The Nursing Medical/Surgical scenario set is designed to provide formative and summative assessments of the student’s ability to provide nursing care beyond the fundamentals level. The cases presented are suitable for students enrolled in a first or second year Medical/Surgical or Adult Health Nursing course. A total of ten cases are provided in a variety of settings with this set of scenarios. All of the scenarios can be licensed from the Laerdal SimStore™.
The Vital Signs Assessment set of scenarios is designed to provide formative and summative assessment with structured feedback for nursing students learning to take, measure, and assess vitals signs.
The Competency Based Nursing set contains twenty scenarios designed to provide formative or summative assessments for the senior nursing student or new graduate registered nurse. The scenarios demonstrate the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) appropriate for safe nursing practice and higher-level clinical judgments in the care of patients with cardiac, endocrine, neurological, and respiratory disorders.
The Medication Administration Part B set contains 19 scenarios designed to provide participants with deliberate practice and specific feedback while performing patient medication administration.
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) scenario set is designed to provide participants with deliberate practice and specific feedback as they provide emergency care to simulated patients with a variety of problems. These upgraded scenarios are based on the VitalSim® scenarios distributed with the original Laerdal ALS simulator.
The First Response to In-hospital Emergency Scenario Set consists of 12 scenarios designed for practice and assessment of a healthcare provider’s ability to apply the American Heart Association 2010 BLS guidelines when responding to in-hospital emergencies.
20 patient cases teach students to identify key indicators and perform critical interventions.
Thirty-one (31) scenarios geared toward management of cardiopulmonary emergencies.
The Medication Administration Part A set contains 16 scenarios designed to provide participants with deliberate practice and specific feedback while performing patient medication administration.
